Bunche Beach Preserve
This natural beach located in Fort Myers near the Sanibel Causeway is popular for swimming, fishing and birdwatching.
This is a natural tidal wetlands area, it is "old Florida".
Kayak rentals and a paddlecraft launch are also available here.
This beach is also excellent to watch the sunset over San Carlos Bay and Sanibel Island.

Bowditch Point Park
Located on the northern tip of Fort Myers Beach, this beach park includes beach access on both the Gulf and back bay.
There are hiking trails, picnic areas and a free public boat dock.
Visitors can spot gophers, tortoises and butterflies visiting the native flower garden.
Being at the tip of the island provides both beautiful beach access on the Gulf side as well as more private peaceful surroundings on the back bay side.

One of the best beaches for shelling, and crystal clear blue water.
