While Pine Island does not have any beaches, it does offer a quiet, laid-back atmosphere with some of Florida's best fishing, and lush natural environment.

Pine Island offers a small-town atmosphere amid mangroves, three aquatic preserves, and acres of palm, tropical plants and fruit groves. 

While travling to Pine Island, visit the small artisctic town of Matlacha.

Let's go Fishing!

Hire a fishing guide, rent a kayak or try fishing from the "worlds Fishingest Bridge". 

The drawbridge on Route 78 into the town of Matlacha is the perfect place to drop a line. 

Visit the artistic community of Matlacha

Dubbed, "the cutest, artsiest fishingest town in Florida," Matlacha is one of the most colorful towns in SW Florida with a great vibe! 

If you're heading to Pine Island, you can't miss Matlacha as you have to drive through to cross the bridge.  Simply park anywhere you find space, get out and walk the many shops, galleries & resteraunts.
